Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Parts Room Attendant Location: Bartlett, IL Shift & Hours: 2nd shift (12 pm-8:30 pm)
Pay Rate: $20-$24
Overview
The Maintenance Storeroom Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked parts storeroom. This role ensures accurate ordering, labeling, and inventory of parts, as well as receiving parts into our computerized inventory system. The Attendant works closely with the maintenance team to issue and order parts based on plant needs while adhering to RMS inventory policies and CMMS (eMaint) standards.
Key Responsibilities Maintain proper labeling of parts and parts bins. Order parts based on pre-set min/max inventory levels. Receive parts and enter them into the computerized inventory system. Pull and stage parts for workorder kitting. Perform inventory cycle counts to ensure system accuracy. Ensure the physical inventory matches the computerized system. Keep the storeroom clean and well-organized. Support the Parts Coordinator and Maintenance Planner as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in a maintenance parts room. Working knowledge of maintenance spare parts management and sourcing. Strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively. A proactive, "Can Do" attitude and a willingness to assist others. Ability to handle shifting priorities and work through ambiguity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Requirements
Experience with maintenance inventory systems. Proficiency in PC applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to source and procure spare parts from vendors. Ability to quickly learn new software applications. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP) is a plus. Prior experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory systems, or maintenance shop roles.
