Job Summary:
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving growth through cultivating relationships with customers to increase future business opportunities. The Sales Account Manager serves as the first point of contact for local customers as it relates to samples and face-time within their respective market(s). This position requires travel within the AOCG footprint but reports to an assigned office location where regular and reliable attendance is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee daily workflow and coordinate with department counterparts to ensure various components of the project are prioritized and all parties are meeting deadline expectations. Promote effective communication to ensure bid accuracy, emphasizing results. Establish and nurture relationships with customers; serve as first point of contact for builders after invitation to bid has been received, develop new business with existing customers and identify future opportunities for roofing/siding projects across AOCG footprint. Work closely with the Director to develop strategies for addressing pricing issues or increases, and scope or contract changes. Track and report on won/ lost communities, opportunities for specification changes, additional volume in current markets, and growth opportunities in new markets. Champion change management to transform department from processing to sales orientation. Partner with Marketing Manager to leverage social media (LinkedIn) to influence awareness of business segment. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay informed on the latest industry developments and strategize through pricing and supplier relationships. Additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Thorough understanding of residential construction estimating process. Ability to communicate effectively. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. Valid Driver's License. Ability to travel locally and within AOCG markets up to 25% of the time. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 10 + years of construction/estimating experience. Prior exterior construction estimating experience preferred. Proven track record of building and maintaining professional relationships. Construction sales experience preferred. Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to stand, walk, bend and perform some travel. Light to moderate lifting up to 15 pounds, pushing and pulling abilities.
