We are seeking a highly experienced
SQL Server DBA
with expertise in DB2 database administration to provide technical support, including performance tuning, design, and maintenance of multiple mainframe DB2 databases. This role involves ensuring best practices in database management, planning, capacity growth, and assisting in the migration of mainframe data to modern relational databases.
Years of Experience:
9+ years in database administration Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical study preferred Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain multiple DB2 mainframe databases supporting approximately 10 applications, including OJI, RCEXPRESS, WOTC, and SETS data warehouse. Perform database design, capacity planning, and performance optimization. Collaborate on the migration of data from mainframe DB2 databases to modern relational database platforms. Support and enhance existing database environments in alignment with team goals and metrics. Required Skills: 9+ years of experience in DB2 and SQL Server database administration. Strong knowledge of database planning, performance tuning, and maintenance. Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical study. SQL Server DBA certification is preferred. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with ODJFS (or similar state agency applications). Familiarity with state agency processes and applications. Additional Consideration:
Candidates with ODJFS experience or other state agency expertise are highly desired.
