Job Description
As an Executive Underwriter, you will be responsible for driving the financial performance of a $8M book of business, with a new business goal of $1.75M annually. You will identify opportunities for growth, develop and execute strategies to capture new business, and enhance relationships with key producers and customers.
Key Responsibilities: Drive new business growth, achieving an annual goal of $1.75M. Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within existing and new production sources. Develop and implement a comprehensive business growth strategy. Manage market penetration efforts and cultivate strong producer and customer relationships. Formulate agency strategies and goals, regularly monitoring progress. Identify cross-sell opportunities among our commercial product offerings. Evaluate and select risks in alignment with Chubb Commercial Insurance guidelines, ensuring thorough documentation. Negotiate pricing, coverage, and terms for new business and renewals while identifying account rounding opportunities. Present sales proposals to producers and clients, including product education and rollout of new offerings. Maintain consistent service standards while collecting and sharing industry insights. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of specialty commercial underwriting and insurance practices. Proven technical expertise in handling commercial insurance lines. Strong analytical skills, particularly in financial analysis. Demonstrated success in sales, marketing, and negotiation. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities. Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in developing and executing marketing plans. Creative and adaptable in a dynamic business environment. Sound decision-making skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred.
