Overall Purpose
The Lead Material Handler is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of material handling activities within the production facility. This role ensures the efficient and accurate movement, storage, and distribution of materials and products to support production schedules. The Lead Material Handler plays a critical role in maintaining the flow of materials to meet production demands while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to guide a team of material handlers in a fast-paced environment. May Report to
Site Supervisor/Site Leads Responsibilities Client relationship & Business development Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria. Operations Assist warehouse employees with receiving, picking, and shipping materials as needed. Complete other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned Collect & analyze daily workload for all repack and productivity requirements. Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas. Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory. Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them. Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move freight. Perform and report cycle counts. Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines. Organization &

Manage and lead a team of Material Handlers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring effective communication. Monitor team performance, identify training needs, and implement development plans. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Communicate personnel issues or possible employee disciplinary actions with Operations manager. Motivate team and measure performance through productivity KPI's. Technical Report process- or tool issues and/or equipment problems to the Operations manager. Ensure that OSD Reports are completed daily and that all related documents and pictures are collected to compile the reports Maintain and update work instructions, and ensure standard practices are being followed. Complete disposition requests for supplier non-conformances. Operating-level proficiency using personal and laptop computers Capable of neatly and clearly keeping records and recording time keeping Powered Industrial Truck Operator (OSHA) with certification from TRIGO HT Demonstrated competency in operating power and hand tools.
