Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse is compliant with the company's policies and vision. The incumbent will oversee warehouse operations within Atlanta, along with room for growth. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday Imperial Dade is the leading independently owned and operated distributor of foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies in North America. As a provider of customized supply chain solutions, we serve customers in many business-to-business market segments including restaurants, grocery stores, healthcare, sports and entertainment, and cruise lines. Founded in 1935 and headquartered in New Jersey, Imperial Dade serves as a mission-critical partner to more than 90,000 customers through our footprint of 125+ branches. **All correspondence will come directly from Imperial Dade and not a personal email address.** Responsibilities: You will: Ensure productivity targets are achieved and all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly. Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with the companys policies and vision Oversee receiving and warehousing operations Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data Manage stock control and reconcile with the data storage system Annual budget involvement Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies Plan work and assign tasks appropriately and appraise results Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees Produce reports and statistics regularly Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
Qualifications: You have: 3+ years of Warehouse Management experience Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases Leadership skills and ability to manage staff Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Safety Management, surveillance, and inventory control skills Excellent communication skills Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration or equivalent experience We offer a dynamic environment for our more than 7,100 employees to work, learn, and grow professionally.
