Scope

Houlihan Lokey, a leading global investment bank, is seeking an Event Associate to join the firm's growing marketing team. The Event Associate is responsible for helping to plan, support, and execute firm events. This position will collaborate with the events team to assist with the planning and execution of events for both external marketing and internal purposes. The ability to be organized, detailed, and to prioritize and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines is essential.

Responsibilities Assist in the initiation and development of conferences, seminars, special events, private dinners, receptions, and other firm events. Components include, but not limited to: Research potential venues, location diligence Assist with managing the registration lists and rooming lists for conferences and multi-day events Badge printing and packing supplies to prep for events. On-site event support Work with other marketing department team members to create print and e-mail save the dates, invitations, event reminders, event web pages, and other event collateral. Liaise with other department members and financial professionals to help build optimal invitation lists/databases and help ensure proper follow-up with invitees. Reconcile and process credit card statements and invoices with accounting department. Assist with compiling post-event stats for debrief reports.

Update event conflict calendar Manage supplies and organize marketing storage closet. Manage event database including hotel contact info and keeping hotel specs updated. Basic Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject Experience working with current technologies related to event production and management Exceedingly detail-oriented and organized. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management, especially senior executives. Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think strategically. A self-motivated and results-oriented person with a proactive approach to executing new projects. A passion for creativity and creating outstanding, memorable events. Must have the ability to work well under pressure and make quick, sound decisions. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Must have detailed knowledge of venue contracts, Banquet Event Orders, and vendor relationships as they relate to events. Build on existing relationships with industry partners and vendors, such as venues, speaker bureau's, and DMC's. Flexible and open to changing priorities with ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Preferred Experience

2+ years of relevant event planning experience. Prior experience in a professional services firm (within the financial industry is a plus) Working knowledge of CRM platforms. Prior experience leveraging event related platforms such as Cvent or Meetmax. Prior experience using a project management software within a team.

Salary Range

Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:

$75,000.00-$85,000.00

Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
