Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Database Administrator to join our IT Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the performance, reliability, and security of our databases. Ensuring the seamless operation of production processes will be a critical part of your day-to-day responsibilities, as well as identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and streamline database functions.
You will take an active role in maintaining the integrity and performance of our database servers through regular tuning and preventive measures to minimize issues. As a Database Administrator, you will not only contribute individually but also serve as the subject matter expert, guiding best practices and supporting the team in delivering optimal solutions.

Essential Functions Manage and maintain Company databases. Make changes to database structure and objects as part of deployments. Maintain the reliability and integrity of databases. Ensure databases security, integrity, stability, and system availability. Manage database operations such as, but not limited to replication, database backup and recovery. Perform periodic audit of database access and security. Make recommendations on optimizing stored procedures and jobs. Advise developers on best practices for physical layer database design. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to quickly restore operations. Additional Responsibilities
Comply with the Tandigm Architecture and Design standards. Identify the implication of new application deployments and assist in its roll-out. Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate Tandigm's commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care, and concern with all internal and external customers. Support the HiTrust certification process by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Manage production support processes as part of the pool of deployment specialists and complete assigned deployments with compliance to the Change Management process. Execute production scripts, e.g., data loads from vendors and Power BI scripts. Continuously improving processes to eliminate repetitive or manual tasks. Enhance and integrate new Azure technology and tools for CICD for deployments. Uses, protects, and discloses Tandigm's patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards and protects Tandigm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference. Adheres to and responsible to abide by all information security policies, processes, and/or activities. Reports security events or potential events or other security risks to the organization to management. Performs additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:
Minimum
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience and/or professional certification). Demonstrated ability to manage and administer DBMS with a particular focus on security, performance and cost. Demonstrated ability to transfer DBA skills beyond a single DBMS technology. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a DBA role supporting Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake. Proficiency in implementation of data policies, procedures, and standards. Proficiency in developing dynamic SQL, indexing, and optimization. Proficiency in Data Lifecycle Management. Proficiency in Production Deployment best practices. Familiarity with ITIL best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong customer service and communication abilities, verbal and written. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to shift from working independently as an administrator to working and collaborating within a team. Preferred
Experience in administering both Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake. Vendor certifications for database administration.
