Job Title: 2nd Shift Shipping Clerk Job Description A distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker. Responsibilities Load and unload materials from trucks Break down boxes and package items for shipment Use order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders Assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed Package items for shipment Pick orders utilizing stairs to reach material for the automotive industry (rolling stairs may range from 7-15 steps long) Essential Skills Picking RF scanner Packing Packaging Pallet jack Unloading Order picking Inventory Warehouse inventory Shipping and receiving Additional Skills & Qualifications Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds Comfortable utilizing rolling safety ladder, about 5-7 steps (will rarely utilize a 15 ft stair ladder but needs to be comfortable when needed for shipping) Ability to speak, read, and write English Must be able to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat Comfortable moving in a fast-paced environment and working individually (self-motivated) Why Work Here? Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually high due to forklift machines running through the facility. The position is for the 2nd shift from 2 PM to 10 PM, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. Attire includes plain shirts, jeans (no holes), and closed-toed shoes. No logos for beer, alcohol, etc. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, California.
