Description
The
Material Handler
will have a wide range of materials-related duties, working closely with other team members to support the operations of our warehouse. This a highly physical position will be responsible for handling materials within the warehouse, production, shipping and receiving areas. This position will work with other staff to ensure coordinated and efficient flow for all incoming and outgoing materials and shipments.
Hours will be 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Materials Handling
Materials movement (sheet metal, parts, and accessories) using RenewAire straight truck or pick-up truck and trailer between and within warehouses, and/or to and from suppliers Miscellaneous deliveries and pickups, including painted units Materials storage and organization including bringing down overstock, visual system inventory management, wire restocking. Follow procedures for non-conforming parts Label sheet metal, parts, accessories, and storage areas Conduct and/or assist with cycle counts and other special materials counts as needed Returns Processing Stage stock for production as necessary Shipping / Receiving
Use a fork-lift to load/unload trucks Use a pneumatic stapler to build crates for shipping Assist in packaging items for shipment Inspect materials upon receipt Count and receive sheet metal, parts, and accessories Deliver materials to designated staging areas Vendor Returns Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license to drive RenewAire straight-truck and pick-up truck and the ability to maneuver a trailer Forklift operation experience Ability to use Microsoft Office software preferred Experience in inventory control activities COMPETENCIES
Good analytical and math skills Exceptional interpersonal skills - ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external staff Detail oriented with strong attention to accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Focus on quality, safety, and maintaining clean and orderly materials and production areas Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
