Job Purpose
The DFS Team Manager is a Leadership role for two areas Dealer Financial Systems. It is responsible to lead multiple Project teams who work on various new software development and support initiatives for captive finance applications. The DFS area is undergoing a complete transformation where Honda will have to integrate with existing 40 interfaces and the vendor, Banks and Accounting. AWS Cloud Data integrations layers for these systems will be critical for providing date from the vendor to the business. This role operates at a Strategic level in collaboration with AHFC and HCFIs business executives and IT senior leadership. The responsibility of the manager is to provide guidance and partnership with the Servicing Business area for Projects, Enhancements, and Support. The role provides day-to-day operational support for Production releases, Production stability and performance of the Servicing systems that support the AHFC & HCFI business units. In addition, the team Manager also is deeply involved with AHFC & HCFI Project initiatives. The key Business Area focal points are; DFS Flooring, Service Loaner, Commercial Loans and Dealer Risk. The responsibility of the manager is to provide guidance, IT Approvals and partnership with the Servicing Business area for Projects, Enhancements, and Support. The Team Manager will mentor and coach their direct reports and serve as the escalation point for issues that need to be resolved. The Team Manager will ensure that projects are successfully completed and operationally, testing, Audit and SOX objectives and goals are met. It is the responsibility of the Team Manager to ensure that the resource allocation aligns with Unit Manager expectations and that resource leveling is properly adjusted throughout the organization to enable the meeting and exceeding of all milestones and objectives. The Team Manager may work on cross-company initiatives and will find themselves assisting in other non-IT AHM-IT initiatives from time to time. In addition, the Team Manager will work with AHFC and HCFI Business Management, vendors & partners to identify opportunities for business innovation and technology improvements. The Team Manager will ensure that the right people with the right skillset and areas of responsibility are organized appropriately. The Team Manager will work together with the team to serve as role models for AHM IT teamwork. The Team Manager will support business operations and initiatives to contribute to the bottom line. The Team Manager will assist and contribute to the budgetary processes within the Department and Division to ensure budgets are adhered to and allocated correctly as per ki planning. The Team Manager will conduct initial and final interviews of potential candidates to join the team and also provide assistance with any vendor/third-party agreements and negotiations. DFS has projects with very large budget in the millions and working with many vendors making sure that all schedule and deliverables are met and seeing if there is any risk which needs to be communicated to the team. The Team Manager will work as a Solutions Architect on multiple projects leading the technical workstream and partner with Architecture Review Board to obtain design approvals. The Team Manager will build vision, technology roadmaps, and other planning artifacts for the Captive Finance IT division.
Key Accountabilities
Lead the captive finance servicing software development teams providing AHFC and HCFI with solutions to support their business needs. Work together with Unit Manager to provide strategic input for the direction and vision of the unit, AHM IT, the Department and the Division. Build NA relationships and network to achieve trust and credibility, by discovering and meeting the needs of internal and external customers. Use persuasion and influence to achieve maximum results with North America IT goals. Build and maintain high performing IT teams by fostering associate development and long-term capability by teaching, coaching and mentoring, integrated with consistent and effective individual performance Management. Ensure Team is motivated, engaged and inspired to achieve goals and objectives. Achieve the project goals for the Captive Finance Applications (CFA) Department as approved annually: including schedule, budget, and quality commitments. Improves project management within AHM IT, AHFC & HCFI and builds systems, processes and policies to improve the efficiency of AHFC and HCFI. This includes managing AMS vendors and identifying new areas where efficiencies and scale can be achieved. The Manager oversees a wide variety of critical functions to ensure stable business operations. This position also prepares and manages finances for the Unit (budgets, forecasts & actuals) while minimizing any variance between budget & actuals. Design technical solutions and provide technical architecture oversight. Conduct code review. Leader for solution and business architecture. Provide direction and oversight of design, methodologies, tooling, partnerships, and support models. Perform modelling, gap analysis, and craft architecture artifacts, such as context diagrams, data flow diagrams, and business capability roadmaps. Work with Architecture Review Board to obtain project design approvals. Lead the technical workstream in critical AHFC/HCFI projects. Build vision, technology roadmaps, and other planning artifacts.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
A Bachelor's degree Computer Science / IT / EE / Electronics Engineering or equivalent work experience. 8 years or more in Information Technology (IT) projects - of which at least 5 in Financial Services / Fintech. Minimum 8 years of Servicing Applications with captive finance experience. Minimum 5 years of supervision experience. 5 to 10 years of Project Management. Experience in designing solutions and providing technical architecture oversight Working any enterprise cloud platforms, IBM MQ, ETL. Note: Prior migration experience will be an asset. Experience as a leader for solution and business architecture, provide direction and oversight of design, methodologies, tooling, partnerships, and support models. Experience in performing modeling, gap analysis, and crafting architecture artifacts, such as context diagrams, data flow diagrams, business capability roadmaps. Experience in working with Architecture Review Board. Experience in leading the technical workstream for critical projects in captive finance area.
