Job Purpose
The Project Delivery Team Manager will ensure the streamlined delivery of IT sustain and customer projects throughout the NA Region. Scope including, but not limited to AHM, HDMA, AFHC/CHI, leading or engaging in all projects that sustain AHM IT and/or our business partners. This role will be the portfolio manager owner of several division projects and supporting 60-80 customer projects in any given year. This individual will lead the Project Manager Team to plan, coordinate, and direct the activities for projects and enhancements including demand management, scheduling, resource leveling, budget greater than $4M and overall project health. As well as providing direction and support for daily operational activities of the Project Delivery Team, they will work closely with decision makers across the organization to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions and/or services for all aspects of the organization. This person will also define and implement Regional IT policies, procedures, and best practices as it relates to the services and applications supported by the Project & Portfolio Services Unit. Key Accountabilities
Work with Unit Manager to provide direction and vision for the management of Regional Infrastructure projects and enhancements. Contribute ideas and formulate the details on execution of Division, Department and Unit strategy. Build NA relationships and network to achieve trust and credibility, by discovering and meeting the needs of internal and external customers. Use persuasion and influence to achieve maximum results with North America IT goals. Build and maintain a high performing IT Project Management team by fostering associate development and long-term capability by teaching, coaching and mentoring, integrated with consistent and effective individual performance management. Ensure Team is motivated, engaged and inspired to achieve goals and objectives. Achieve the project goals for the Project Delivery Services Team as approved annually: including schedule, budget and quality commitments. Demonstrate a broad, working knowledge of IT infrastructure hardware, networks, & service delivery / service lines. Support Project Delivery Team utilizing proven problem management skills (TQM, ITIL, Kepner / Tregoe: SA, DA, PPA, PA). Workstyle
Hybrid: At least 3 days per workweek at the local office Qualifications, experience and skills:
Education: Information Systems (IS) related bachelor's degree and / or equivalent work experience with focus on Systems Infrastructure and Platforms or Technical Portfolio Management. Experience: Minimum 8 years of IT business work experience with ~3 to 5 years in Project or IT Leadership role Experience and knowledge of technologies including Microsoft, Infrastructure Networks, thin client technologies, server virtualization and an awareness and understanding of additional software programs and technologies relevant to technical infrastructure environments. Other job-specific skills: Knowledge of network and server operating systems, including (UNIX, Windows, LINUX, OS/400 and z/OS) Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development. Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives. In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Strong understanding of project management principles (Agile, Waterfall, Jflow, SAFe, SOX) Demonstrable tracking and recording in delivering technological environments; highly analytical in problem solving with the ability to apply original and innovative thinking to solving complex process and technical issues. A high level of oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with senior managers, colleagues and other stakeholders. Ability to research subjects, with a commitment to provide continuous improvement to work under pressure and think clearly in challenging situations in a logical manner. To be flexible in approach and be comfortable with a fluid organizational structure that requires both teamwork and self-sufficiency as necessary, with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
