Material Handler

supporting the

Advanced Materials

Division located in

Rock Hill, SC . This position will report to the

Supply Chain Leader . Job Scope Shall ensure production personnel have the raw materials, rework materials and packaging materials staged for use when these materials are required. Warehousing activities which would include material handling, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting. Provides support with scheduling, supply chain and plant personnel for supporting manufacturing activities. In summary, as the Material Handler, you will: Maintain

all SAP functions related to receiving, staging and inventory. Perform

all duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies. Responsible

for unloading bulk shipments of Hazardous raw materials. Stage

and remove materials for production consumption. Cycle

count areas for inventory control and FIFO consumption. Responsible

for ensuring partial containers of raw materials and finished products are kept to a minimum. Work

with production, technical and compliance personnel to identify and follow through disposition of out-of-specification raw materials, finished products, and by-products. Maintain

housekeeping in designated areas. Perform

as a backup to shipping. Ship

and receive small quantity packages. Actively participate

on assigned company-designated teams and committees and demonstrate a positive influence on employees and customers. Maintain

weekly counts on plant consumables. Other general responsibilities: Follow

instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. Assist

other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals. Participate

in and completes company-required training programs. Participate

in EHS initiatives as set forth by the company. An aptitude for safety, safe work practices, good housekeeping and continuous improvement required. This position may require involvement with materials regulated under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). This involvement requires an understanding of applicable rules and procedures associated with RCRA wastes. A combination of training methods, e.g., Computer-based Training, Classroom, and/or On-the-job training, will be provided prior to any such involvement with RCRA regulated wastes. Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United

States. Required Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent is required for all jobs. 1+ years of experience offloading hazardous bulk trucks. Skills & Knowledge Must have a good safety approach to work and be willing to wear required PPE. Demonstrated ability to drive a forklift with a safe record. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to direct and work effectively in a team environment is critical. Must be self-motivated, able to work as a team and possess a strong work ethic and a high degree of personal integrity. Must have the ability to demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving skills with good organizational and planning skills. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a Warehouse setting, shipping/receiving skills. DOT, IMO and IATA hazardous shipping experience, certification. Competencies Communicates tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during employment. Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and teamwork is critical for job success. Requires personal initiative.
