Deskside Support Specialist
About the Role: We're seeking an experienced
Deskside Support Specialist
who thrives in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. This role is ideal for a
self-starter
who works independently, proactively communicates, and excels at problem-solving. In this role, you'll support network computer users, diagnose and resolve performance issues, and provide hands-on assistance with software, hardware, and other technical needs.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, research, and resolve
software and hardware incidents, including Windows OS and various software applications. Provide desk-side assistance
to users and respond to recorded service desk occurrences. Record, update, and document
requests within the IT service desk system. Install and configure
new IT equipment, ensuring effective setup. Troubleshoot and
resolve issues with printers, copiers, scanners,
and other peripheral devices. Resolve incidents and upgrade
software and hardware as needed. Create, maintain, and publish
support documentation to help employees quickly resolve issues and become more self-sufficient. Attend training sessions to stay up-to-date on internal system processes and emerging technology. Follow
relevant policies and procedures
to ensure quality and compliance. Take on additional responsibilities as needed. Qualifications:
Strong customer service skills
and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Associate's Degree in Computer Science
or equivalent work experience. 1-3 years' experience in an
end-user support role . Excellent written and verbal communication skills Technical expertise
in Active Directory, the full Microsoft Office Suite, and networking fundamentals. Experience with
AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Bluebeam,
and
Ubiquity
is a plus. Experience with
server environments, basic networking, engineering and accounting software,
and
Android/iPhone support
is preferred. Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and effectively communicate solutions
in a fast-paced environment.
