Application Support Specialist
The
Application Support Specialist
will be responsible for responding to and resolving technological issues for court staff, including judges and judicial personnel. The primary role of this position will be to learn and support the
MiFILE
application and other court-specific technologies, including audio-visual and recording equipment, ensuring the efficient use of systems by business users and the public. This role will interface with the County IT team for incidents and problems that require higher-level technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide application support for MiFILE and other Court-specific systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technology-related issues for Court staff, including judges and judicial staff. Interface with the County IT team to escalate incidents and problems that need higher-level support. Learn and support audio-visual/recording equipment used within the Court system. Ensure the technology needs of the District Court staff are met, especially during Court sessions. Act as the main technology liaison for the District Court Administration. Maintain a high level of customer service and communication with business users and public system users. Required Skills & Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in application support or a related technical field. Strong experience with Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with JAVS, BIS, and MiFile applications is preferred. Ability to learn and provide support for court-specific line-of-business technologies. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must be able to provide technical support to a diverse group of users. Must pass a background check Work Environment & Schedule:
On-site at the
District Court in Rochester Hills . The role is primarily based on-site five days a week to support District Court staff during sessions. The position requires regular interaction with Court staff during court hours.
