Assistant Branch Manager

The primary purpose of this position is to provide quality service to current and potential Credit Union members.This is accomplished by serving as a liaison between the member and the credit union; providing information to current as well as prospective members on membership eligibility, account types, loan products and any other services the Credit Union offers.Other duties include daily supervision of branch staff while ensuring effective operational practices; assisting staff with decision making, researching balancing discrepancies completing end of month reports, and evaluating tellers' performance. Provides support to the employees by coaching, training, and assisting with complex transactions and inquiries.
Responsibilities Include:
Coaching and Leadership: Mentor and coach branch staff to achieve individual and team goals. Provide ongoing feedback and training to enhance performance and professional development. Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment. Sales and Business Development: Drive branch sales goals by developing and implementing effective sales strategies. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and relationships within the community. Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets. Member Service Excellence: Ensure that all members receive exceptional service and support for their financial needs. Address and resolve member concerns, account inquiries, and issues with professionalism and efficiency. Assist members with account management, including account openings, maintenance, and general inquiries. Promote a member-centric culture within the branch. Support members with loan applications, processing, and follow-up. Operational Management: Assist in managing branch operations, including compliance with credit union policies and procedures. Oversee cash handling, transaction processing, and other operational tasks. Ensure branch security and adherence to safety protocols. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Branch Manager and other team members to achieve branch objectives. Participate in branch meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making. Collaborate with other branches and departments to enhance overall credit union performance. Required Qualifications:
Required Education:
Education equivalent to a four-year high school education.
Required Experience:
2 - 4 years of teller, member service, loan or related experience.
Preferred Experience:
Previously held supervisor or leadership roles.
Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of general credit union operational procedures to include cash handling, teller job-related duties, and loan processes and procedures.
