**RARE NEW CYBER SECURITY ENGINEERING OPPORTUNITY SUPPORTING NEXT-GEN PRODUCTS FOR A TOP AEROSPACE & DEFENSE COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!!** JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. This team supports 2-3 products for the Department of Defense, which include enterprise-level web applications. These applications are legacy systems currently undergoing upgrades and re-architecture. The work environment includes a collaborative team focused on solving complex technical challenges, promoting innovation, and ensuring the security and performance of critical applications. Job Responsibilities:

Author technical reports and presentations for projects of moderate to high complexity. Create and analyze network protocols. Architect and design frameworks used by applications running on J2EE platforms. Create, refactor, and implement Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Microservice Architectures (MSA). Assist with building applications using stored procedures, functions, and triggers on RDBMS such as Oracle and PostgreSQL. Own the product throughout the software lifecycle from ideation to deployment. Engage in code reviews to ensure team members contribute code that meets the short and long-term goals of our applications and architecture.. Provide technical coaching to encourage experimentation and problem-solving in unique ways. Lead and participate in the conceptual phases of identifying and solving business problems and initiatives. Own the architectural design of major pieces (business capabilities and internal processing). Provide technical expertise in proof-of-concept, archetype evaluations, and implementations. JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret security clearance. BS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field. Prior hands-on experience with coding. Prior hands-on experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Microservice Architectures. Experience architecting and designing frameworks for applications running on a J2EE platform. Experience with legacy and modern technologies, JSON, web services (REST and SOAP), JavaScript, data access components, and XML. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift. Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and Cloud Services such as AWS or Azure. Active Secret or TS/SCI Clearance. Technical diagnostic expertise including problem investigation, reproduction, and resolution skills. Ability to acquire new skills efficiently. Thrive in a collaborative environment. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and Data Structures with a good knowledge of their ecosystems. Understanding and implementation of CI/CD strategies. Experience using KANBAN or Scrum. Experience designing systems with considerations for scalability, resiliency, and performance. Working knowledge of Enterprise Frameworks, Applications, and Integration Patterns. Experience working with Developers, Architects, and Product Owners to provide solution options. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence engineers, product and project managers, corporate leadership, partners, and customers. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to rapidly develop and cultivate relationships with peers, partners, and key influencers. Experience with React or other frontend frameworks.
