RICK Engineering is hiring a Technical Support Analyst III for our San Diego team! We're looking for a Technical Support Analyst III who can handle a challenging and rewarding role, supporting users at a high level with technical issues while maintaining a calm and human-focused approach. Key Responsibilities : •Deliver expert technical support for a wide range of systems and applications. •Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring an exceptional user experience. •Engage in collaborative problem-solving and communicate effectively with team members and users. •Provide advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve complex technical challenges efficiently. •Act as the final escalation point for technical issues before engaging management. •Maintain detailed records of troubleshooting actions, solutions, and relevant updates to ensure thorough documentation and knowledge sharing.

Mandatory Qualifications:

•Microsoft Suite & Administration Experience:

Expertise in Microsoft Suite, including Azure, Exchange, and Office 365.

•Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD/Entra ID:

Proven experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.

•VOIP Systems:

Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting VOIP systems.

•SCCM:

Experience with System Center Configuration Manager for software deployment and system management or other remote monitoring and management systems. • Networking Fundamentals:

Strong understanding of the OSI model, layers 1-8.

•Telnet & PuTTY:

Competence in using Telnet and PuTTY for network testing. • PowerShell:

Skilled in scripting and automation with PowerShell. • Windows Group Policies (GPO):

In-depth experience with GPO for system management. • Windows OS:

Solid foundation in Windows operating systems.

•DFS:

Knowledge of Distributed File System (DFS).

•WSUS:

Experience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).

•VEEAM:

Familiarity with VEEAM for backup and recovery solutions.

•VMware VCenter:

Hands-on experience with VMware VCenter for virtualization management.

Optional, Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

•Intune:

Experience with Intune for mobile device and application management.

•Proofpoint:

Familiarity with Proofpoint for email security.

•DUO:

Knowledge of DUO for multi-factor authentication.

•Linux:

Working knowledge of Linux environments.

•Mobile Device Management (MDM):

Experience with general MDM tools and strategies.

•KVM:

Familiarity with KVM for virtualization.

Education & Experience: •Preferred: Security+ & other CompTIA Certs •High School Diploma required. •8-10 years of experience in a related field.

Physical Requirements: •Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds as needed (for setting up or moving equipment). •Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing technical support tasks.
