Extrusion Machine Operator - Urgently Hiring!!!!Pay: $21/hrGENERAL SUMMARY:Feed heated billets into an extrusion press to transform them into strips.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Performs work of a recurring nature requiring mechanical aptitude; produce products according to verbal or written instructions; operation of hand tools and operation of equipment as necessaryMust be able to lift up to 85lbs regularlyMust be able to stand, sit, walk, or bend as neededMust be able to push carts, with or without assistanceMust be able to properly communicate with co-workers and SupervisorsMust be organized, able to read, write and communicate effectively in EnglishMust be able to work safe and always stay focusedExtrude orders; load billet oven; ensure everything is running correctlyGrease extruder (first shift only, or as needed)Able to cut strips and stack billetsGood and reliable attendance, Employee must be able to be at work, on time, and ready to work at start of shift each dayKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Must understand quality of silverMust be able to correctly read and use a mic and calibersMust be able to tolerate a hot environmentAbility to plan and prioritize work schedulesMust be able to clearly communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and managementMust be able to successfully work as part of a teamAssure that strips are clean when stacked on cart, no fingerprints, lint or greaseAssist in training of new people on ExtruderCommunicate with Melt Room and Break down about silver qualityMust be able to wear all required protective safety equipmentOther duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months manufacturing related experience; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
