Job Summary:

The objective of the Material Handler is to safely and effectively, move materials and goods, via a power industrial truck (sit-down, stand-up, and clamp), to and from warehouse storage to appropriate manufacturing areas. Material Handlers are also responsible for loading and unloading of tractor trailers. At times, the Material Handler will work closely with Bindery, Press and Maintenance support staff.

Duties/Responsibilities: Move paper, printing materials and other products to and from the Warehouse to the Press Line or the Bindery Department Load and unload trucks. Inspect and maintain equipment daily. Use a handheld bar code scanner. Use of Shrink Wrap Machine Use of a Slitter Machine Track inventory and complete warehouse tally sheets indicating material weight, size and number of skids. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED 1-3 years of formal job-related training 1-3 years of job-related work experience Must be dependable, reliable, and responsible in fulfilling obligations. Must work well with others. Must be flexible and open to change when needed. Must have the ability to follow instructions. Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders. The ability to work up to 10-to-12-hour shifts. Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently, 20lbs constantly. Constantly be able to work in the work activities. Remain in stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Moving to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, Communicating with others to exchange information, Operating machine and/or power tools Work in noisy environments. Occasionally be able to do the listed activities. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like Moving self in different position to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight spaces. Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 lbs. in all directions Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned Work in high temperatures, small and/or enclosed spaces.
