Want to make an impact? The individual in this position supervises the organization of custodial activities throughout the plant and warehouse. The work requires knowledge of the practices and materials of the service and supervisory techniques, personnel policies, and procedures. The individual works under general supervision and uses independent judgment to apply the guidelines to specific situations.

Ways you will make a difference Adhering to high sanitation, GMP, and safety standards. Be familiar with cleaning chemicals and techniques, as well as the Master Sanitation Schedule to assure we are in compliance with our programs and regulatory guidelines. Train Sanitation staff in job skills, proper cleaning methods, and use of equipment, safety practices, prevention, and in work regulations. Conducts inspections and investigates complaints of the building to check for cleanliness and advises staff of found conditions and methods of correction. Continually demonstrating proficient communications and ability to work in a team environment under short timelines. Monitor inventory of cleaning chemicals, supplies and equipment; Communicate with Supervisor when replenishment is needed. Reports all observed safety hazards. Conducts oneself in a professional manner, maintains continuity between shifts, and contributes to an overall team effort. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Evaluates and verifies staff performance through the review of complete work assignments and work techniques. Follows up with team members to ensure completion of tasks. Participation in departmental activities such as meetings, project groups, administrative obligations (phone, e-mail). Must maintain accurate, thorough records.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Skills that will make you successful The individual must have good creative problem solving and organizational skill, as well as good communication skills. Able to work and lead in a team environment. Individual must be able to work independently while able to support the overall objectives of a team. Individual must be able to thrive in a fast paced, multi-project/task environment and be comfortable working with people of varying disciplines and levels: upper management, sales/marketing, R&D, manufacturing, and plant personnel, quality technicians, etc. Proficient in time management. Ensures compliance with FSSC and other relevant standards.

Experiences that will support your success Minimum of 3 - 5 years of food-industry experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent A minimum of 2 years of experience as a lead Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office preferred)
