Job Title: Quality Lab Technician
Job Responsibilities
+ Perform wet chemistry lab analysis on raw materials, in-process, and finished products, including pH, viscosity, specific gravity, color, odor, appearance, IR Spectroscopy, and FTIR.
+ Conduct micro testing and swabbing.
+ Check all incoming raw materials, including chemicals, bottles, and labels.
+ Perform line audits to ensure filling and compounding operations meet customer requirements.
+ Write logs and reports of findings in Microsoft Excel and other data management systems.
+ Send daily emails to Lab Manager and Quality Director to update on findings from the shift.
+ Interact with the corporate team in San Francisco to discuss any issues.
+ Prepare shift change notes and document all testing and quality metrics during the shift.
+ Document department results and KPIs as needed.
+ Work in Excel and SAP to document quality results.
+ Research and resolve quality documentation concerns.
+ Conduct various quality tests on finished product cases from contract manufacturers and in-house manufacturing.
+ Maintain and calibrate laboratory testing equipment.
+ Maintain an organized inventory of laboratory supplies and communicate needs to the QA manager.
+ Create Excel data analysis spreadsheet reports based on laboratory testing and maintain accurate laboratory test result records.
+ Work closely with the quality specialist in processing supplier-related NCRs.
+ Make recommendations and participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry).
+ Experience in wet chemistry (can be from school).
+ 6 months to 1 year of work experience outside of school is ideal. Would consider candidates that have held jobs previously in a fast pace industry (manufacturing, food service, etc.)
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
+ Ability to adapt to change.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Eagerness to go above and beyond to help out in the facility.
+ Must be flexible to overtime as business demands require.
