Description

Pay: Up to $18 per hour

Position Summary:

Assists Shop Manager with shop operations and meets the needs of members and guests.

Qualifications

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Keep shop clean including dressing rooms.
  • Greets customer on sales floor and determines make, type and quality of merchandise desired.
  • Displays merchandise, suggests selections that meet customers needs and emphasizes selling points of article such as quality and utility.
  • Demonstrates use of merchandise.
  • Helps with tournament information with members and assist in coordination of special events.
  • Estimates quantity of merchandise required to fill customers need.
  • Wraps and bags merchandise for customer.
  • Takes inventory of stock on a monthly or as needed basis.
  • Requisitions merchandise from stockroom.
  • Examines defective article returned by customer to determine if refund or replacement should be made.
  • Opens and closes computers on a daily basis.
  • Prepares daily sales recap for Accounting Dept.
  • Answers telephone in a polite, professional and timely manner.
  • Uses computer database to research availability of merchandise.
  • Processes Special Orders.
  • Books lessons and court reservations as needed.

  • Computer experience necessary

Education & Work Experience Requirements:
  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Retail experience helpful
