Salary: $132,000-$158,000 annually

Job Purpose

The Project Executive is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of electrical projects, leading a team of project managers and support staff, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budget and on schedule. The Project Executive is involved in strategic planning, stakeholder management, resource allocation, and providing expert guidance to project managers. As a key leader within the organization, the Project Executive will drive excellence, foster collaboration, and ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.


What You'll Do

Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee the prioritization, initiation, and execution of projects, ensuring resource optimization and efficient project sequencing.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement strategies to mitigate and address them.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to assess performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as Project Manager on large-scale projects where experienced oversight is needed.


Team Management and Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers and support staff, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Delegate responsibilities, establish clear accountability, and monitor performance to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance individual and team performance.


Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trade partners.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, manage expectations, and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Resource Allocation and Financial Oversight:

  • Allocate resources effectively across projects, considering project complexity, deadlines, and team capabilities.
  • Monitor project budgets, financial performance, and profitability, ensuring adherence to financial goals and cost control measures.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and implement strategies to maximize project profitability.


Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the organization.


Industry Expertise and Innovation:

  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical construction.
  • Provide expert guidance to project managers, offering insights and solutions to complex project challenges.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the organization by identifying opportunities for process enhancements, technology adoption, and industry-leading practices.


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 10 years of progressive experience in electrical project management, including experience overseeing multiple projects and managing a team of Project Managers.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of project managers and support staff.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills to identify potential risks or issues and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency in monitoring project budgets, financial performance, and profitability, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
  • Ability to make informed decisions regarding resource allocation, project prioritization, and risk management.
  • Efficient time management to oversee multiple projects and ensure timely delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Deep understanding of electrical installation processes, industry standards, codes, and regulations.
