Chinatown Service Center (CSC) Overview

In 1971, the Chinese Methodist Church embarked on a mission to support newly arrived Chinese immigrants, laying the foundation for what we are today. The Chinatown Service Center (CSC) is a nonprofit organization providing multilingual health and social services, employment training, and counseling in Greater Los Angeles. CSC'S BHD Administrative Manager Purpose:

The Administrative Manager manages and oversees behavioral health’s daily administrative operations, administrative system, and workflow.


As the BHD Administrative Manager at CSC, You will be responsible for:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all administrative procedures and systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business policies or objectives.
  • Ensure a smooth and adequate flow of information within the department.
  • Prepare, track, and review operational reports.
  • Allocate responsibilities and office space.
  • Assess staff performance, manage and address complaints from staff and/or clients, and provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • .Manage staff and project schedules, including deadlines.
  • Monitor and project staffing needs and work with BHD and HR to Hire and train administrative staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Office Administration, Human Services, Psychology).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of progressive professional management experience, including experience with coaching/training subordinates and interviewing for opportunities.
  • Results-oriented with an understanding of office management processes.
  • Comfortable and knowledgeable about the healthcare and/or behavioral health industry.
  • Self-motivated, self-driven, and able to work independently within the scope of assigned tasks with minimum supervision, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills, including writing, speaking, written, verbal, in-person, and via telephone, email, and web posting correspondence.
  • Proficient in word processing and data entry using Macintosh, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Reliable Transportation.
