Our elite team of acute care professionals treats medically complex patients requiring extended acute care treatment. Most patients are ventilator-dependent with multiple co-morbidities. The Unit Manager is responsible for the integration and coordination of the management and clinical activities of the Unit. This position is focused on developing unit goals and objectives for the nursing, respiratory and rehab team based on analysis of clinical and managerial processes to improve patient outcomes and to create a culture of excellence. This position serves as a professional role model, mentor and clinical resource for members of the TriVent Healthcare team. This position will ensure operational efficiency and accuracy, staff management, training and development and continued improvement of quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities of Unit Manager position include:

· Maintain an efficiently staffed schedule to ensure Unit and Hospital patient safety and quality outcome standards are met.

· Monitor daily operational activities to evaluate performance of the Unit and staff in meeting objectives, determine areas of potential improvements while maintaining compliance with Unit and host hospital policies and procedures

· Lead the interdisciplinary team in developing, implementing and evaluating ways to achieve patient goals

· Partner with clinical liaisons to ensure TriVent resources are allocated appropriately for patients admitted to our Unit.

· Mentor and educate staff, work with physicians and other medical professionals and serve as a resource to the Unit regarding the quality of services provided.

· Collect and measure outcomes timely for patients admitted to the TriVent Unit.

· Assist with hospital administration in developing and performing staff education and/or training based on corporate needs or based on process and/or quality improvements.

· Prepare and present TriVent Unit outcomes to the Executive Team.

Education/Experience:

  • Education – Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN Required, Masters in Nursing or Business Preferred, CCRN Preferred.
  • Experience – Two years of critical care experience. Minimum 10+ years management experience in hospital or clinical environment; experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and management performance of onsite and internal unit teams
  • Licensure – Active State Nursing License
  • Certifications – BLS and ACLS required
