Position Summary:

The RN/LPN will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and supporting the healthcare team in various capacities. This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

For Registered Nurse (RN):

  • Conduct patient assessments and document medical histories.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  • Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
  • Provide patient education on health management, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and follow up on care plans.
  • Perform diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and phlebotomy.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with clinic policies, state and federal regulations, and best practices in nursing care.

For Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

  • Assist with patient assessments and document medical histories.
  • Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of a physician or RN.
  • Provide basic wound care and assist with dressing changes.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist during medical procedures.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and health maintenance.
  • Support the healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with clinic policies, state and federal regulations, and best practices in nursing care.

 

Qualifications:

 

For Registered Nurse (RN):

  • Current RN license in the state of Kansas.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPR and BLS certification required.

For Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

  • Current LPN license in the state of Kansas.
  • Completion of an accredited LPN program.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and EHR systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
  • CPR certification required.
