About the Job

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department team in Hartford, CT. This is a contract position with a 12-hour shift schedule, working three days a week from 19:00 to 07:30, totaling 36 hours per week. The role requires a nurse who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, providing top-tier care to patients in a Level 1 trauma setting.

What youll be doing:

• Implementing and monitoring patient care plans and communicating patient conditions as needed.
• Serving as the primary coordinator of care across multiple disciplines.
• Carrying out physician and nursing orders with accuracy and timeliness.
• Assessing and coordinating patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Requirements:

• Active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is required; TNCC certification is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have a Green Card.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as an Emergency Room RN.
