Your role at BHSN:

The RN Team Lead is responsible for supervising staff, coordinating activities and serving as the point of contact for clients regarding the respite program.

What your day might look like:

• Providing on-going feedback and evaluation to respite staff members.
• Working with staff members and clients to resolve issues that may arise regarding care.
• Coordinating care plans for new and existing clients.
• Providing initial feedback for admissions related to medical needs of clients
• Preparing initial paperwork and explaining respite services to the client’s family.
• Preparing the MAR and ensuring that client has the medications they will need during the stay.
• Coordinating medical care that may be needed during stay.
• Oversite of care while on shift
• First point of contact for any emergent needs of clients and staff

Your skills and qualifications:

• NYS Department of Education RN required
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team until collaborate across disciplines and programs.
• Broad clinical knowledge of psychiatric disorders, and psychiatric diagnosis.
• Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation required for local and regional travel.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
