Position Summary:
The Surgical Services Clinical Coordinator is a registered nurse that works under the direct supervision of the department director. The Clinical Coordinator will manage a specific work unit team of Surgical Services Department (PACU/POHA, Outpatient Surgery, Operating Room and Sterile Processing). The incumbent will supervise both professionals and non-professional personnel on a daily basis, ensuring that productive, cost effective, quality patient care is delivered and the department meets other goals. The Coordinator shall be able to anticipate the needs of the assigned work department and team and provide required support while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the Patients, Staff, Anesthesia and Surgeons.
Qualifications:
Requires Current California Registered Nurse license.
Current American Heart Association BCLS certification, CPAC certification.
Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
Basic Arrhythmia Course Certificate.
Prefer Minimum four years operating room experience with one year in an operating room management or charge position.
Requires Leadership experience, with strong written and verbal communication and computer skills.
Demonstrated organizational, planning, leadership and coaching skills.
Ability to develop and foster team work among co-workers, Anesthesiologist, and Surgeons.
