Service Cashier

Job Summary

• Operates cash register to accept payment from service customers

General Accountabilities

• Greets customers in an upbeat and friendly manner
• Receives payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, etc.
• Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers as needed.
• Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
• Calculates total payments received during a time period, and reconciles this with total sales at the end of shift.
• Assist the manager with various clerical duties as needed.
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
• Operate telephone system.
• Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employees.
• Maintains clean and orderly checkout area.
• Available to work flexible hours and on weekends.

Job Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Must by 18 years or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Excellent verbal and written communication
