Urgently Hiring! Store Sales Associate in Houston, TX Part-Time and Biweekly Pay
MUST be available to work August 10-11th, 2024. This position is Part-Time - WEEKENDS ONLY currently.
As a Store Sales Associate, you will be integral to our retail customers’ shopping experience and part of why they keep coming back. Customers will be excited to see you at your first event with Grab n’ Go Market, and every one after. You will assist customers with any inventory & styling related questions and provide insight on additional products, as well as manage all transactions at the checkout counter. This position is perfect for anyone looking to gain experience in the fashion sector, anyone looking to supplement their weekday income, and students looking to expand their resume.
Primary Responsibilities
● Customer Engagement: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing product knowledge and recommendations.
● Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
● Merchandising: Help maintain the appearance of the store, including organizing merchandise, restocking shelves, and ensuring product displays are appealing and well presented.
● Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts and help with receiving shipments and restocking items as needed.
● Promotions: Actively promote store promotions, sales, and special offers to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
● Customer Feedback: Gather customer feedback and report observations to management to improve store performance and customer satisfaction.
● Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to create a positive and supportive work environment. Qualifications:
● Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required. Previous experience in vintage, luxury, streetwear, and/or sneakers is a plus.
● Education: High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in fashion or business is a plus.
● Fashion Knowledge: Interest in and knowledge of clothing trends and fashion. Knowledge of fashion history is a plus.
● Availability: Must be available to work weekends, with flexibility for additional hours during busy periods or special events. Skills:
● Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to connect with a diverse customer base.
● Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to drive and close sales.
● Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
