Wayne Pipe & Supply Inc is hiring: Warehouse Supervisor in Fort Wayne

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for assisting with all shipping, receiving, and pipe shop functions concentrating on pick-up counter operation and assisting the warehouse manager with daily warehouse office correspondence with customers, vendors, and company employees.

Essential Job Functions:

· Ensure that our customers, vendors, and company employees have a positive experience with a confident, friendly, and helpful attitude.

· Maintain a professional appearance and promote a positive work environment.

· Answer pick-up counter/warehouse phone calls, vendor delivery requests, and in-person communications from customers, vendors, and company employees.

· Prioritize tickets focusing on urgency of pickup and route deliveries.

· Assist with the daily operations of the warehouse including delivery truck fleet, load truck manifests, and respond to urgent delivery requests.

· Assist in maintaining delivery vehicles, warehouse machinery, and equipment maintenance schedule.

· Attend and participate in department and corporate meetings as requested.

· Assist with scheduled cycle counting/reporting and managing inventory cycle count variances.

· Monitor the training of new warehouse staff, maintaining compliance with company processes and procedures with attention to safety.

Requirements/Skills/Abilities:

· High School Graduate or equivalent.

· Must be 18 years of age or older.

· Must be able to work in seasonally hot or cold environments.

· Must be able to lift 50lb or more occasionally.

· Ability to be certified on material handling equipment (overhead crane and forklift).

· Must be able to operate a company computer and an R.F. scanner

· Must be able to understand the company product location system.

· Must have prior supervisory experience.
