The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Food Distribution Center and its staff. This role ensures that daily activities meet and exceed performance expectations by implementing standards for production, productivity, quality, and customer service. The ideal candidate is dedicated to TCAH's mission of hunger relief and food justice, has excellent communication skills, proven partnership management abilities, strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, and can garner support from a wide range of agencies.

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Food Distribution Center and its staff. Tasks and Responsibilities:
Food Distribution Operations
- Optimize driving instructions and coordinate with drivers for product aggregation and distribution during pickups and deliveries.
- Prepare weekly orders for delivery and pickup, including palletized dry goods and produce.
- Maintain close relationships with customers, producers, and distribution partners; resolve customer issues as needed.
- Coordinate regular vehicle maintenance and inspections with the Administrative Assistant.
- Manage stocked inventory, warehouse operations, and stock placement.
- Ensure orders contain correct products, check quality, pack safely, and label for delivery.
- Work with Food Hub staff to manage facility setup and warehouse maintenance in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Check in with TCAH sites to identify and accommodate food needs.
- Supervise a team of drivers, warehouse workers, food distributors, and a waste management associate.
- Complete and approve payroll for supervised staff.
Driving & Delivery Coordination
- Maintain detailed records of driving shifts, including product issues, mileage, and hours worked.
- Compile transportation costs into a monthly logistics cost report for the Food Hub.
- Assist with product receiving and documentation.
- Monitor truck and refrigeration conditions and coordinate maintenance with the Warehouse Manager.
- Perform regular food safety checks on trucks and maintain required daily food safety records.
- Ensure vehicles are clean and meet food safety standards.
- Assist in training new drivers and warehouse workers.
- Complete the FDC Fuel Consumption log based on fuel purchases.
- Conduct site visits of Food Distribution Partners.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work in an office setting.
- Ability to lift and move products (cases up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work and drive in adverse weather conditions.
