Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Warehouse and Delivery Supervisor to oversee the operations of our warehouse in a meat processing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure inventory accuracy, maintain safety and quality standards, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management:

· Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and shipping of perishable goods.

· Efficiently build and route local deliveries.

· Implement and monitor workflow processes to ensure timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy.

· Coordinate with production and logistics teams to streamline operations.

· Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, picking rates, and shipping times.

· Prepare reports and share performance updates with management.

Team Leadership:

· Manage, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance goals.

· Create and maintain schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.

· Delegate tasks: Assign duties and responsibilities based on workload to maximize efficiency as necessary and adapt to changing priorities.

· Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Safety and Compliance:

· Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and USDA standards.

· Maintain proper storage and handling of meat products to adhere to food safety regulations.

· Conduct routine safety audits and report any incidents or hazards.

Inventory Control:

· Oversee inventory management, including regular cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies.

· Ensure proper rotation of inventory (FIFO) to minimize waste and maintain product quality.

· Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor stock levels and generate reports.

Facility Maintenance:

· Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse at all times.

· Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

· Proven experience (3+ years) as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role in food distribution environment, preferably with meat or perishable food products.

· High school diploma or equivalent required

Skills:

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.

· Strong knowledge of food safety and OSHA regulations.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to work in a cold and fast paced environment (refrigerated/freezer conditions).

· Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.

Schedule & Compensation:

Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility for overtime and weekends as needed.
