Overview: CSP is partnering with a reputable uniform rental company to help them identify a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery in the industrial laundry facility, as well as perform general maintenance and repairs for equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. Duties will include but are not limited to repairing, maintaining, and installing washers, dryers, conveyor systems and boilers; performing boiler chemical testing and making necessary chemistry adjustments; performing various welding activities; May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of junior staff in the department. Supervisory Responsibilities: • May hire, train, and oversee subordinate staff in the department. • May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of junior staff in the department. • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Duties/Responsibilities: • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines • Control downtime by informing production workers of daily/weekly routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications • Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. • Orders and installs replacement parts for machines. • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. • Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently. • Prepares reports documenting work performed. • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. • Obtains services of outside contractors when repairs require specialized training. • Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines. • Collaborates with plant manager regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required. • Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with Plant manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required. • Performs other related duties as assigned. • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. • Performs routine maintenance on building systems. • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. Required Skills/Abilities: • 5 years’ experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or similar field. • Excellent time management skills. • Maintenance management • Maintenance planning and scheduling • Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals • Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills. • Works well independently and with others. • Good communication skills. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. • Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical system. • Organized with attention to detail. • Ability to stand for up to 7 hours in an 8-hour shift. • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment. Preferred: • Boiler Knowledge • Experience and ability to perform welding activities such as MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting and brazing • HVAC experience Education and Experience: • High school diploma and some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience required. • At least two years of experience required including supervisory experience. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods standing and walking. • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. • Must be able to visually inspect machines. • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
