Our 37 acre manufacturing site in Sheridan specializes in the production of high quality utility poles. The local Stella-Jones plant team is made up of 40 dedicated manufacturing professionals across a variety of roles. To learn more about Sheridan’s utility pole products (including a 1 minute video overview), visit our product page: https://www.stella-jones.com/en/products/utility-poles Position Details The Safety Supervisor at the Stella-Jones manufacturing plant in Sheridan, Oregon is responsible for ensuring Health and Safety compliance at the facility. This is an onsite role and reports to the Plant Manager. Key Responsibilities: Health and Safety facility inspections Health and Safety facility audits Health and Safety facility training Health and Safety policy, programs, and procedures implementation Perform accident and incident investigation as necessary Provides directions to other department supervisors and plant employees in regards to health and safety matters Accurate and timely Health and Safety reporting and recordkeeping Occasional travel to EHS training events May be responsible for additional plant operations Participates and contributes to company safety program Perform other related duties as assigned Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
