Position Overview: Maintenance Supervisor will interact with the leadership group, production team members, quality assurance, and other maintenance technicians to improve and maximize plant output, efficiency, quality, and safety. Duties include proactively troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production and plant support equipment. Duties are performed in a high volume, manufacturing environment where individuals are involved with overhauling equipment and the installation of new equipment. Responsibilities: Perform on line repairs and maintenance as necessary to maintain production at target efficiencies. Troubleshoot and repair production and plant equipment. Work with Production Technicians on continuous improvement initiatives to solve problems on all equipment. Program/troubleshoot PLC and operator interface panels and program Variable Frequency Drives. Develop, modify, perform and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks. Provide line support for changeovers by understand total process layouts and be able to maximize efficiency through optimal interface. Implement projects for line improvements. Requirements: A sense of urgency, “can do attitude" in everything they do, from paperwork to people leadership. Must possess a flexible schedule with the ability to work; long and unpredictable hours to ensure the plant manufacturing equipment is working at its optimum capacity; able to work different shifts, nights and/or weekends when needed to meet business demands. High aptitude to problem solve and work with others to come up with creative solutions. Demonstrated willingness to learn, create, and improve work processes. Preventive maintenance, repair and adjustment of filling conveying, packaging, palletizing, and auxiliary equipment. Previous maintenance experience in a food or beverage production environment. Technical knowledge of Production related equipment with maintenance experience with Production equipment. Technical skills must include electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and PLC. Possess an ability to fabricate parts. Experience in using machinist measuring tools. Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals (mechanical and electrical). A quick-thinking, problem-resolving attitude. Able to stand, walk, kneel and bend for long periods of time. Must be organized with attention to detail. Strong progressive leadership and team development skills are essential. Strong decision making and problem solving skills. Good computer skills, math, reading and writing skills are required. Bilingual Spanish is a plus Education and/or Experience: Must have High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Technical Education is a Plus. Food Safety & Quality Requirements/Responsibilities: Adheres to all Food Safety/Quality SOP’s Accurately completes required Food Safety & Quality Records Communicates any known or suspected Food Safety/ Quality issues to the Q.A.
