Practice Highlights
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician-led and accountable 500+ provider multispecialty group practice seeking a dual-trained Sports Medicine and Family Medicine physician to work full-time at its Fruitland Health Plaza. This physician would be seeking to develop a robust sports practice and assist with FM patient panel visits of all ages. There are currently a local high school and a local community college which need team physician involvement from this position. These organizations and athletes are supported by employed athletic trainers who are connected to the team physician and orthopedic clinic. The practice is located in both the orthopedic clinic and the family medicine clinic in the Fruitland Health Plaza. The clinics utilize Epic for Electronic Medical Record and Computerized Order Entry; experience with EMR is highly advantageous.
Support: 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia; Level II Trauma Center; ED; Saint Alphonsus FM, UC, specialty clinics, and ancillary services on-site; community primary and specialty care clinics.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine residency program, a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship, and/or Sports Medicine program.
- Board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment).
- Obtain Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Boards of Pharmacy & DEA.

It is a major commercial airport, where several major airlines provide daily flights to medium and large cities in all directions.
