ProCare Therapy is hiring: Schools - Social Worker in Saint Albans

Location:Queens, NY
Overview: Join ProCare Therapy's dedicated team at Riverton Street Charter in Queens, NYas a School Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the social and emotional well-being of our students. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional who is committed to fostering a positive school environment and empowering students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective intervention strategies and support plans for students.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with special needs or circumstances.
• Advocate for students' rights and access to resources both within the school and in the community.
• Organize and facilitate workshops and programs on topics such as bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and mental health awareness, etc.
• Travel between campuses;Grade Levels range from Elementary, Middle & High School

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited program.
• New York State licensure or certification as a School Social Worker (if required).
• Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of child development, behavioral interventions, and therapeutic techniques.

Interview Process

• 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
• 20-30 minute virtual/in-person interview with school district
• Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview
