About the Role:
Soliant Education is seeking a passionate and skilled School Social Worker to join our team in Highland Park for the 2024-2025 school year. This position will focus on supporting an elementary caseload, helping students navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges to promote their academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services to elementary students, addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement effective interventions and support plans.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate strategies for support.
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, providing a safe environment for students to express their feelings and concerns.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and develop plans to support students in distress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and services provided.
  • Stay informed about munity resources and refer students and families to appropriate services as needed.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree from an accredited graduate school of social work program.
  • Valid SSW-310 Authorization for School Social Work OR MDE School Social Worker Credential.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and munity resources.
  • Must pass a background check and meet any additional state or district requirements.
