Job Summary:
The City of Lynchburg is seeking a Refuse Worker to join our waste management team. This role involves collecting and disposing of residential refuse, bulk items, and supporting cleanliness in public spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Collect residential refuse and bulk items.
  

• Explain refuse policies to customers as needed.
  

• Conduct daily equipment checks and routine cleaning.
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  

• Flagger certification preferred or ability to obtain it.
  

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather.
