Ulland Brothers, Inc., is a Civil/Highway-Heavy, aggregate and site development contractor with offices in Carlton, Virginia and Albert Lea, MN. Ulland Brothers has operated in the construction industry for over 100 years. Ulland Brothers has an immediate opening for the position of Field Asphalt Operations Manager. The Field Asphalt Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating the activities of hot mix plants and paving crews to produce a quality product that meets or exceeds the required specifications. This position is primarily based out of Northeastern MN.

Responsibilities:

Supervise hot mix plants, paving crews and associated trucking Coordinate with subcontractors and material suppliers Provide feedback and corrective measures as needed Project scheduling, productivity awareness and cost control Attend project meetings Ensure conformity with project drawings, specifications and quality requirements Communicate and maintain positive relationships with owner, engineer and inspectors Maintain records, review timecards, manage change orders, and approve invoices and pay estimates for the project Identify potential challenges, provide data and proactively address with solution oriented plans Follow and enforce company policies Qualifications:

Knowledge of construction practices in Highway-Heavy construction Experience in construction field operations specifically related to Hot Mix Asphalt Understanding and ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Be familiar with the current Standard Specifications for Construction Computer knowledge preferred but will provide training Positive communicator and leader Possesses excellent organizational/coordination skills Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
