Whether through research and development, technology innovation or solution engineering, our people play vital roles in connecting consumers with the products and platforms of tomorrow.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgradesMonitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and minimize downtimeAdminister Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core servicesPerform backup and disaster recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and availabilityCollaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security policies and procedures, including patch management and vulnerability remediationConfigure and maintain virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware) to support server infrastructureWork with storage and networking teams to ensure system integration and stabilityProvide technical support for escalated issues and work with teams to resolve incidents promptlyAutomate routine tasks using scripting tools such as PowerShellEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standardsCreate and maintain documentation for systems, configurations, processes, and proceduresSkills, Experience and RequirementsEducation and Experience:5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration or engineeringSkills and Qualifications:Expertise in managing Windows Server versions 2016, 2019, and/or 2022Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and core services (DNS, DHCP, etc.)Experience with virtualization platforms like Hyper-V or VMwareFamiliarity with storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and networking conceptsProficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasksUnderstanding of security best practices and experience implementing server hardening measuresExperience with patch management, monitoring tools, and disaster recoveryAbility to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues independentlyExcellent communication and documentation skillsRelevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, VMware VCP) are a plusSalary RangesCompensation: $110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year BenefitsWe offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: DISH Benefits.The base pay range shown is a guideline.
