Position Description

As part of our Material Handler team, you'll work on cutting-edge equipment, collaborate across departments, and lead the way in cost reduction, optimizing manufacturing processes. It's your chance to make an enduring impact on the future of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Shipments and inventory: Receive incoming shipments of materials, products and supplies. Verify the accuracy of shipments by checking orders, packing lists and doing quality checks. Report any damage on products.
  • Unloading and loading: Unload incoming shipments from delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
  • Labeling and Packaging: Label and package items for storage or shipping following established procedures and safety protocols. Along with picking and packing, sorting and counting.
  • Abide by Safety Protocols: Follow proper safety protocols while handling materials and operating equipment.
  • General Computer Skills: General knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. The use of other computer software such as SAP ERP. Excel and Word will be used to create and manage reports and to keep records.
  • Communication: Communicate with team members to ensure operational effectiveness. The use of Outlook to communicate with interdepartmental teams.
  • Abide by Quality Standards: Understand and follow Applied Medical's Quality Systems.
Performance Objectives:

Within your first 30 days:
  • Complete scheduled Applied Learning foundational courses with a passing grade of 95% or above, demonstrating rapid integration into company processes on an ongoing basis.
  • Become familiar with the warehouse, including receiving, picking, and processing areas.
  • Receive training on the basis responsibilities of the department roles through hands on training and shadowing experienced team members.
  • Begin training on forklifts as the role requires.
Within 60 days:
  • Comfortably use Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP), RF Scanners, and required equipment to fulfill material requests.
  • Begin to execute tasks more independently and resolving issues with less guidance.
  • Complete training on forklifts as the role requires.
Within 90 days to one year:
  • Confidently use all related equipment and software to fulfill material requests
  • Execute tasks independently and resolve issues with little to no guidance.
  • Have a well rounded understanding of all working areas of the receiving, picking, and processing areas.
Position Requirements
  • Ability to work on 1st or 2nd shift within our Applied Rancho Santa Margarita warehouse facility.
  • Ability to stand and work for several hours at a time.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • High school graduate, General Education (GED) or work equivalent.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team setting.
Preferred
  • Experience with warehouse operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience with general computer software.
  • Experience in operating forklifts.
