Description

Summary:

This position will play a key role in growing HPL Apollo revenue by adding new businesses, maximizing current accounts by retention and expansion and developing the best processes for Sales, customer service and Marketing that will put our company ahead of the industry.

Improve business relationships, helping the company to stay connected to customers, streamline processes and improve profitability.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Grow sales by getting new customers and maximizing the gross profit of current accounts:
    • Identify new sales opportunities and growth areas
    • Prospect for new accounts by telemarketing, direct mail, networking, etc.
    • Develop, maintain, and build positive customer relationships.
    • Identify opportunities for the generation of new lanes for existing accounts.
    • Work with the Management Team on the best Strategy for the company.
    • Develop Market Reports with opportunities for new businesses and new customers.
    • Conduct pricing reviews for existing customers making sure profits are maximized.
    • Provide quotes for new business opportunities
    • Work on Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
    • Work with Inside Sales on space management with airlines.
    • Develop an inside sales operations team that will assist and maintain high levels of service to your accounts.
  • Be the lead person for assigned Key Accounts of HPL-Apollo:
    • Maintain and grow key accounts assigned
    • Make sure all customer inquiries are answered properly in a timely manner
    • Keep all rates up to date
    • Work with Inside Sales to ensure customers are provided with great customer service
    • Coordinate with the other HPL teams that deal with this key customer in other branches and/or countries making sure we act as a team.
  • Support sales developing marketing tools such as:
    • Prepare Presentations of the company to be sent to customers or for internal purposes
    • Develop and maintain LinkedIn and/or others Social Network Channels
    • Develop and distribute press releases
    • Develop and send newsletters to customers with news about us such as new facilities, network, services, etc.
    • Provide website updates and brochures.
    • Merchandising
    • Coordinate presents for customers
  • Other:
    • Participate in annual events for HPL such as Fruit Logistica in Berlin, Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong and PMA in the U.S. among others.
    • Communicating and negotiating with the airline to secure rates and space
    • Maintain and strengthen relationships with the airline's rep.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must provide proof of the legal right to work in the United States.
Education/Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years operational and/or sales experience in the logistics/perishables industry with proven satisfactory track record.
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in WMS, Outlook and Office
