SoC Display Subsystem Image Quality Engineering Program Manager (EPM) will be leading the multi-functional image quality validation effort ensuring alignment in methodology and co-ordinated processes between SoC display architects, Display module EE leads, Video Engineering, SW Engineering and various QA teams across Apple across all product lines. The SoC Display Subsystem is comprised of: display pixel pipeline in the SoC, the display module and driver IC, as well as the FW/SW to enable the display features at the system level. The image quality validation effort is an integral part of the end-to-end validation of the SoCs display subsystem, from architecture to MP phase of the product life cycle, ensuring picture perfect image quality is shipped with every Apple device.DescriptionThis high profile role will be responsible for the following: - Work with multi-functional partners to establish an image quality validation engineering methodology that comprehends each of the functional team’s objectives, and is aligned multi-functionally. - Drive the image quality process and multi-functional forum where the collaborators review new HW / SW / user-interface (UI) features impacting image quality. - Drive multi-functional test plan development and reviews, for new image quality impacting features requiring in-depth collaboration and new methodology development. - Drive pre-silicon/and post-silicon image quality reviews and sign-off across partners, and ensures multi-functional interest are represented at both ANSiP (Apple New Silicon), and ANPP (Apple New Product) processes including image quality demos and reviews. - Collaborate and facilitate communication across multi-functional engineering teams and their management. - Clear and focused communication of program risks and status, including issue reporting and tracking. - This is a highly visible role that requires the ability to understand and extract action plans from sophisticated technical discussions and translate into succinct messaging for multi-functional and executive status reporting.Minimum QualificationsBS in engineering field and 15+ years of relevant experience.Proven experience in SoC Display IP/Driver IC development, validation or debug - Silicon / Software / System integration (one or all three) experiences will be considered.Technical Program Management or Engineering Leadership/Management experience.Preferred QualificationsSoC display pipe architecture / digital signal processing.Experience in image and video quality metrics used in display and camera processingExposure to different display technologies.Excellent debugging skills. Consistent track record to drive resolution of critical problems in fast paced environment.Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.Passionate to own/drive project development using well-defined metrics.Thrives in dynamic schedule driven development environment.Ability to succinctly summarize complex details for executive reporting.Extraordinary leadership skills and ability to encourage team members with a commitment to see the bigger picture.Experience working in a dynamic multi-disciplined engineering environment, strong at multi-tasking.Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,500 and $358,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
