SUMMARY:
As an Account Executive for the Rakuten Rewards Business, you will use your experience selling digital advertising solutions to large advertisers and their ad agencies in the US to successfully grow and scale domestic revenues. Through client-side and agency relationships, a consultative approach and understanding of the digital advertising landscape, you will act as a strategic partner to your assigned merchants and sell a broad range of Ad Media placements and packages that will ensure that their business goals are met. As an individual contributor, you will work closely with the Sr. Director of Sales and will be supported by the Account Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and grow current Growth Commercial accounts, developing broader relationships, gaining customer insights, and meeting annual revenue and growth goals. Partner with the Sr. Director of Sales to build strategies targeted to meet both the client' and internal objectives. Possess expertise in mobile solutions, apps and digital commerce. Experience in designing, proposing, selling and overseeing the execution of projects. Demonstrate strong analytic insight and ability to communicate / deliver findings while providing exemplary and timely client service. Has a proven track record of growing ad media revenue of $10M+ annually. Is able to travel in the US, up to 30% of the year.

Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.

- 5+ years' experience closing media sales and generating revenue
- Experience working closely with brands and agencies
- Demonstrated ability to consistently close sales and generate revenues
- Strong track record of high-level negotiation and successful internal and external relationship management
- Strong analytical abilities
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with technical and non-technical teams to translate customer needs into actionable items
- Ability to interact with a broad set of businesses and presenting both over the phone and in person
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through

- Bachelor's Degree or Relevant work experience
