Rakuten Rewards is looking for a sharp, driven, and multi-tasking Executive Assistant to provide executive and administrative support to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO). The role will be based out of our San Mateo office and report to the CTO.

Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.

Rakuten Rewards is looking for a sharp, driven, and multi-tasking Executive Assistant to provide executive and administrative support to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO). The role will be based out of our San Mateo office and report to the CTO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts and ensure prompt responses
- Manage and maintain busy calendars, and respond to meeting requests that require frequent re-prioritization
- Communicate with the product development staff on the CTO's / CPO's behalf and coordinate logistics for high-level meetings, primarily internally and occasionally externally.
- Assist with daily administrative duties including completing expense reports, and arranging detailed travel plans, itineraries and agendas.
- Assist with preparing documents and meeting materials; occasional research
- Assist team with meeting deadlines and having all information to help the executives make decisions
- Assist with recurring product development-wide gatherings (e.g. townhalls)
- Assist with events managed by CTO / CPO (e.g. leadership summits, hackathon)
- Handle multiple tasks at the same time and have the ability to anticipate the CTO's / CPO's needs and change direction quickly and often without having all the details
- Assist with high-level projects as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and possess a general technical proficiency
- Travel arrangements and scheduling experience
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills that reflects the ability to prioritize, plan ahead, and perform multiple tasks seamlessly
- Creative and resourceful in solving issues and improving processes
- Proven ability to handle situations independently
- Able to work successfully in a highly cross functional team environment -- being comfortable and familiar working with different time zones is essential.
- Attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, efficient organizational skills, and the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice
- A terrific work ethic accompanied by a get-it-done attitude
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience as an executive assistant.
- Bachelor's degree required
