The Edward Hines VA Medical Center is actively recruiting to fill a Board Certified Staff physician in Neurology (board-eligible physicians will be considered as well) position to help care for our Veterans – America’s Heroes.
The Hines Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting Neurologists to manage a variety of neurological conditions of Veteran patients who are experiencing seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis, neurodegenerative disorders, migraines, neurological disorders and more. You will see general neurology patients in outpatient clinic and will have inpatient Neurology consultant duties, with resident support. Participate in all aspects of a general Neurology program, to include clinical, administrative, academic, and research components. Patient caseload may be inpatient, outpatient, or both and include a range of neurological disorders. Interpret EEGs & perform/interpret EMGs. Manageable volume & on-call. Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology is required. Optional procedures include Botulinum toxin injections for dystonia or migraine prophylaxis, and others.
We have a strong affiliation with the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine with an opportunity to teach residents & medical students and obtain an academic appointment.

We’re an innovative care center within the Veterans Integrated Service Network 12 (VISN 12). VISN 12 includes medical centers and clinics in Wisconsin, Illinois, northwestern Indiana, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, (May be required to work evenings or weekends, mainly on call by phone, as a 24/7 Full-Time Physician).
- Must be U.S. Citizen – Non-US Citizens may be considered
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
- Board Certification in Neurology preferred, but Board Eligibility may also be considered.
